Graphic of people with symptoms of heartburn wondering what causes acid reflux

Constant Heartburn is a Painful Condition

Heartburn is commonly experienced by pregnant women especially when pregnancy progresses. Usually, when the date of birth is nearing, heartburn is constantly experienced by pregnant women. This happens because the baby grows bigger and tends to press on several internal organs of the mother. This is why pregnant women constantly go to the bathroom and pressure is also applied to the stomach area that causes acid to proceed to the esophagus  that leads to the everrpresent feeling that constant heartburn is a painful problem.

For pregnant women to avoid this from happening is that they must watch the foods that they are eating like avoiding spicy foods and foods that are high in fat.

It is always advised that pregnant women eat a healthy diet because adding weight will not do well and it can cause risks to the baby. When heartburn happens or an individual is experiencing heartburn symptoms, they must take in anti-acids to reduce the discomfort being felt when constant heartburn is a painful problem.

Other Relief for Constant Heartburn

Aside from pregnant women, obese individuals also experience constant heartburn. This is because the extra fat is pressed on to the stomach and the acid rises to the esophagus. That is why obese individuals are always advised to reduce weight in a healthy way and this can be achieved through regular exercise and eating healthy. A physician must also be consulted for a plan or healthy diet to be written down that will work for the obese individual. It must also be made sure that the weight gain is not because of an underlying illness that needs immediate medical treatment. So when the extra weight has been reduced, the constant heartburn as well is reduced and they can already eat some of their favorite foods in small quantities. Even though they munch on spicy foods, constant heartburn will not be experienced because of the reduced weight and change of diet.

For other people who are experiencing heartburn, it may be because of a physical condition. Physical condition that results to heartburn can be a non-functioning valve located in the esophagus. This condition leads to the acid proceeding to the esophagus that comes from the stomach even though the person only ate a small meal. For individuals who are experiencing this physical condition, they can undergo some surgery or take in medications that will lessen the symptoms with the combination of a healthy diet. To avoid heartburns, an individual must not include these kinds of foods in his diet, spicy, foods with high level of fat; lessen the intake of alcohol, tobacco and caffeine. If this is done in a regular basis then the person will experience a huge change and the occurrence of heartburn will be reduced. Another that goes well with a healthy diet is a work-out plan. Regular exercise will help maintain a person’s weight, will lessen stress and most especially rid your mind of the nagging thought that Constant Heartburn is a Painful.
